Jupiter Christian School is a warm community of learners taught with the love of Christ. Founded in 1963, JCS offers pre-K through 12th grade and is fully accredited by the Association of Christian Schools International and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Our outstanding academic program emphasizes character development based upon biblical truth. We aim for the highest standards, equipping your child for achievement and success. Jupiter Christian School's elementary program offers our youngest students a safe, nurturing environment. We strive to support their growth by offering a curriculum that focuses on the basics, including phonics-based reading, penmanship, spelling, Bible, memorization, mathematics, science and history. We also include weekly elective classes such as Spanish, band, computers, music and art. Children are receiving a well-rounded education beginning in the early grades. Our students also participate in various academic competitions. We consistently have children earning first place ribbons in academic competitions that take place within Palm Beach county and beyond. Through our Athletic Department, elementary children also have the opportunity to participate in intramural programs in soccer and basketball. Information concerning these experiences is communicated to the parents prior to each season. The preschool program at Jupiter Christian School is a full day program that operates on the same calendar as the school age program. We are a participant in the ACSI approval program and are a substantial compliance preschool with the Florida Department of Health. Our teachers hold CDA certificates as well as ACSI Early Educator certificates. The program is structured to allow for teacher guided instruction as well as student choice activities. The day allows for indoor as well as outdoor play. Children are introduced to phonics and number concepts. In addition to daily singing, story-time, and art projects, we have weekly special classes in physical education, art, music, library and Spanish. Jupiter Christian School's secondary program is structured around a college preparatory curriculum. From middle school through high school, courses are taught from a Christian worldview and designed to challenge the intellect and develop critical and abstract thinking skills across all core academic subjects. Honors and advanced placement courses, magnet programs, internships and practical experiences offer students a wide range of expanded learning opportunities. Athletic teams, fine arts, clubs, and various campus organizations all contribute to an overall balanced and well rounded educational experience for students.
