Kinglong is the first modern lighting company whose products are exempted from inspection for export in China. It has gained dozens of qualifications and honorary titles, such as "National High-tech Enterprise", "Famous Trademark in Guangdong", "Famous-brand Product in Guangdong", "Famous Exported Brand in Guangdong", "Competitive Enterprise with Intellectual Property Advantages in Guangdong", "Innovation Industrialization Demonstration Base for Small- and Medium-size Enterprises in Guangdong", "Top 100 Enterprises in Zhongshan City", and so on. In 2013, "Kinglong Informationalization Upgrading Project" was selected to be among the "Four Hundreds" demonstration project for integration of informationalization and industrialization in Guangdong, and Kinglong became the model of digital transforming of production processes of industrial enterprises in Guangdong province. As independent innovation is the core competitiveness of enterprises, Kinglong, as early as in 2001, founded enterprise science and technology R&D center with an aim to make technical breakthroughs in product innovation, process improvement, energy conservation and environmental protection and other fields. As a result, it has successfully designed and produced hundreds of independent innovation products with patent rights. At present, Kinglong owns more than 500 patents of various kinds, among which the number of patent applications in EU, USA, Japan and other developed nations and regions is increasing year by year. Since 2002, Kinglong has hired famous designers from Italy, Germany, Spain to be design advisers and design directors and has built a strong team of top foreign designers including Gunter from Germany, Marc Gabarra from France, Chiara Di Vincenzo from Italy, Alessandro Cardniato from Spain, Pietro Melone from Italy. There are 100-odd persons in the team besides the above-mentioned backbone technical R&D personnel. In 2007, Kinglong invested nearly ten million yuan to establish a 2,000-square-meter independent and functionally complete lighting test center which met the requirements of the laboratory of China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment, CNAS. In January, 2010, Kinglong was crowned as the first lighting enterprise that won both "Best Design for Fixed Luminaire" and "British Lighting Design of the Year" awards at the same time in the history of the British Birmingham International Lighting Fair. The company has registered the trademark of "Kinglong" in EU, USA, Japan, Turkey and other nations and regions in order to strengthen the building of independently developed brands. In May, 2010, it has become the designated lighting supplier for Shanghai Expo, and its swan lamps and MOOLLONA, the hand-crafted glass lamps whose general agent of the Asia-Pacific Region is Kinglong, have been the unique designated lightings for Vietnam pavilion.
