Kitsap Mental Health Services

Kitsap Mental Health Services (KMHS) is a private, not-for-profit community mental health center that provides both mental health and behavioral health care services to children, families, adults and seniors in Kitsap County. Through comprehensive inpatient and outpatient programs, individualized and tailored care is provided to individuals affected by mental illness. Services are designed to help consumers function as independently as possible. This includes linking consumers with natural supports in the community. KMHS is part of the Peninsula Regional Support Network (PRSN), which administers the mental health services for Kitsap, Jefferson and Clallam Counties. The nine County Commissioners from the three counties form the PRSN Executive Board which is responsible for making all contracting and funding decisions for the region. A citizens advisory board, which makes recommendations to the PRSN Executive Board, is comprised of fifteen individuals (five from each county) with at least 51% of the board being consumers of mental health services or family members. Anders Edgerton, the PRSN Administrator, may be contacted at (360) 337-4886.
