KK Collection

George's Sri Lanka journey began much earlier at his Gloucestershire home, when he stumbled across an amateur painting of a tropical estate in Ceylon. Keen to learn more about the artist (his great-grandfather, who first sailed to Britain's Indian Ocean colony in 1860), and the subject (the rubber estates he had created there), George flew out to Sri Lanka in 1999. Within four days of arriving in Sri Lanka, George had purchased a 10-acre hilltop tea estate, 25-minutes' drive from south coast Galle, with a view to transforming it into a private villa. Initially this was George's holiday home, but upon permanently settling in Sri Lanka it soon evolved into Kahanda Kanda, and the first hotel in the KK Collection stable. Oceanfront KK Beach was added to the Collection in 2016, and in April 2020 KK Collection took over the management, upgrade and rebranding of the successful Noel Rodrigo's Leopard Safaris' camps in Yala and Wilpattu national parks. In 2021, The Villa Bentota became the latest hotel to join the collection. KK Boutique was established in 2009. OUR COLLECTION
