Koruma is one of the first private sector institutions in Turkey and the first producer of chlorina, caustic soda, sodium hypochlorite, hydrochloric acid and chlorinated paraffin. The plant was built in Derince in 1963, with mercury process which was the most efficient and modern technology, to supply the necessary industrial chemicals to the area and produce the chlorinated agrochemicals. In 2000, Koruma installed their membrane electrolysers which is the latest and most environmentally friendly and energy efficient technology. In 2004, they increased capacity further with membrane technology and know-how from uhdenora. With several investments in the recent years Koruma has extended its product range and capacity and with the rapidly growing logistics facilities it aims to serve the needs of local, national and international market effectively and efficiently. Koruma is the first company to receive the electricity producer licence from EPDK and since 2003 produces energy from natural gas in Derince plant. Koruma continues to care for the environment and aims to use the scarce natural resources efficiently by choosing the energy efficient and environmentally friendly technologies. Adres : Deniz Mah.
