Kumano Experience

Kumano Experience focuses on hiking and kayaking tours on the UNESCO World Heritage designated Kumano Kodo pilgrimage routes in the southern tip of the Kii Peninsula on Honshu, Japan's main island. These pilgrimage routes not only include a diverse network of trails across the mountains but also the Kumano River, a rare river pilgrimage route. We also provide custom tours, kayak instruction and sale of outdoor gear. Kumano Experience's base is a traditional Japanese farm house amidst rice paddies on the banks of the Kumano River.
