The University of Kansas Medical Center
The University of Kansas Medical Center (KU Med) is a division of the University of Kansas School of Medicine, and consists of educational facilities and the University of Kansas Hospital (KU Hospital). The hospital houses nearly 560 beds and 500 doctors. It offers specialized services including emergency medicine, cardiology, cancer care, trauma care and organ transplants, as well as stroke, prostate and burn centers. KU Med's educational programs include a graduate school, as well as schools of medicine, nursing, and allied health. The medical center also houses health science research centers.
