Kyowa grew rapidly, along with the Japanese economy. The company moved into manufacturing, starting with production of automobile ball joints that were guaranteed to operate for 50,000 km with no oil. As the company experimented with different designs, it developed expertise in moving from prototypes to production. This marked the start of its prototype manufacturing business. From 1972 until 1987, Kyowa Industrial Co., Ltd. operated as a dedicated manufacturer of special machine tools. We designed, manufactured and sold our own leading edge, high productivity equipment in Japan, as well as the United States and Korea. We enjoyed a strong reputation with manufacturers in many industries in Japan and overseas. Our success at that time was built, in part, on our strong technical foundation. Today, we enjoy continued success that stretches back to and draws on our own history as a manufacturer.
