Lakewood Baptist Church

Lakewood Baptist Church is committed to local and world missions. Approximately 25% of the yearly budget goes to missions. Missionaries and ministries supported by LBC are from the following agencies: ABWE; BCM, Int'l.; Gospel for Asia; New Tribes; SIM, USA; Voice of the Martyrs; Wycliffe; and AWANA. Several local outreach ministries receive support from our church such as AWANA, Upwards Basketball, Love INC, Inter Varsity, St. Susan's (soup kitchen), UCAN, and Community Helping Hands. Outreach events include the Sportsmen's Dinner, Operation Christmas Child, Fall Fest, and Angel Tree. Various teams of teens and adults have served on mission trips to Cuba, Ukraine, Portugal, and with the AWANA Returning Hearts ministry to the Angola prison in Mississippi in the last two years.
