Lancaster Country Day offers a dedicated $10,000 per year Merit Scholarship for St. Joseph's Medical Center employees and affiliated physicians. For Middle and Upper School applicants, the scholarship is available exclusively to children, grandchildren or relatives of St. Joseph's Medical Center employees and any physicians employed or affiliated with SJMC. The scholarship is renewable through to graduation. LCDS has more than 70 families from Berks County, and offers 35-minute private bus service from 10 locations in the area. While the Merit program is for Middle and Upper School students, LCDS provides $2.5 million in need-based aid to 32 percent of its student body. Accepted Lower School students (K-5th grade) are eligible for need-based grants. The average need-based grant this year is $11,600. Who Is Eligible To Compete For A Community Scholarship?
