Landons Greenhouse

Landon's Greenhouse and Nursery was founded in 1979 by Jack and Kathy Landon on 4 acres northeast of Bighorn, Wyoming. Their first greenhouse, which was salvaged from a fire, is still in active use. For 19 years, Jack and Kathy built a reputation for growing quality plants. When they sold the business in 1997-to Wayne Gray, his sister, Janelle Gray, and Janelle's husband, Phil Gilmore-the new owners vowed to continue this tradition of excellence. In 2000, the three partners built a Garden Center closer to town, at 505 College Meadows Drive. The old location-56 Landon Lane-now houses 7 greenhouses and is used as a growing facility. The new Garden Center boasts two gutter-connected greenhouses with a retail store, a large nursery and perennial yard, and two more hoop houses "out back" for holding perennials and popular annuals. In May of 2014 Wayne Gray sold his shares in the business to Keith & Jennifer Kershaw. Keith is a native Wyomingite, and wanted to get back to his roots in Sheridan. The Kershaw's bring with them many years of experience in the Nursery industry. Landon's Greenhouse is the only growing facility in Sheridan, Wyoming. We still grow many annuals, vegetables and perennials from seed, and we start even more from plugs and cuttings. Landon's also has a full-service Landscape department, doing anything from planting a tree to landscape design to pond and landscape installation. The staff at Landon's are the heart of the organization. Let us introduce a few of them . . .
