LC America, Inc. is the US subsidiary of Le Caselle s.r.l. Based in Pontevico (Northern Italy), Le Caselle is an Italian, family owned and operated business founded in 1991. Combining extensive food manufacturing know how and innovative technology, Le Caselle sells its products in 5 continents, enjoying the highest recognition and level of credibility among snack food providers. Using an extrusion process very similar to pasta production, the company produces snack pellets. These are semi-finished products comparable to snack chips and are produced from potatoes, cereals, vegetables and legumes. The whole process is carried out with new technologies ensuring outstanding, durable quality. LC America, Inc. is a B2B company and does not cater to the final consumers, but rather snack food producers. These producers either deep fry or cook, through a hot air expansion process, LC America's semi-finished pellets, then package, re-brand and market the final product. Quality is guaranteed by using only certified suppliers for raw materials and a quality control system that encompasses the entire manufacturing process. LC America supplies customers with a wide range of potato, cereal, vegetable and legume based semi-finished snacks. The state of the art technology allows customization and Le Caselle's Research and Development department adjusts to customer's specific needs in terms of products and recipes. The Savory Snack market is continuously growing worldwide, reaching globally over $90 billion. The US is the most important market for Savory Snack foods, representing approximately 1/3 of the world's consumption. Snack pellets are an Italian technology that represents a small, but significantly growing portion of the Savory Snacks market. Both the successful results achieved so far as well as the continuously growing demand from our North American customers has brought about the setting up of a new branch of Le Caselle in the United States. LC America was founded in the US in 2011 and is headquartered in the City of High Point. The production plant began operations in January 2013.
