Leaaf Environmental
Established in the New Orleans Metropolitan area in January 2005, Leaaf Environmental, LLC (Leaaf) is a recognized leader in soil, groundwater, and air quality investigations (asbestos, lead-based paint, and mold) in Louisiana and throughout the Gulf Coast. Having worked together since 1989, Leaaf's founders, Claire Renault, Jim Blazek, Jr., and Jane Morgan, developed a business philosophy designed around "Minimizing Environmental Risk," and thus created Leaaf to assist local clients by providing cost-effective solutions to environmental issues. Jesse Hoppes joined the firm in January 2013, and together, these four environmental professionals have a combined experience of over 90 years in asbestos, lead and mold, environmental assessments, remediation, environmental training and legal support. In an effort to be responsive to the needs of our clients, Leaaf has continued to expand its services to include construction support services. Leaaf is a growing woman-owned small business and certified DBE that has been in business for over ten years. Leaaf welcomes the following new members in 2016: Emily Reeves (Environmental Professional/Risk Assessor), Mike Simpson (Environmental Technician/Construction Support), Rachel Fenasci (Environmental Scientist/Business Development), Chase Cromwell (Geologist/Environmental Scientist), Suzanne Sicotte (Administrative/Environmental Support) and Frederica Lamar (MSPH Student/Environmental Scientist). Leaaf is a growing firm which boasts a trained staff of project managers, geologists, environmental risk assessors, environmental technicians, and environmental scientists able to work at commercial and industrial sites and at government facilities. In addition to providing environmental consulting services, Leaaf is also a UST Response Action Contractor, Louisiana Licensed Driller and Louisiana Licensed Contractor with specialty licenses in UST Removal and Cleanup and Hazardous Waste Treatment or Removal.
