At Leading and Learning, our test-preparation programs are designed according to your child's needs. We believe this creates the greatest opportunity for individualized instruction. Whether your child is preparing for the SAT, ACT, FCAT, TOEFL or high school entrance exams, we have a program to suit his or her needs. Our program begins with an in-depth analysis of your student's strengths and the areas in which they need improvement. Students are then matched with a tutor that is particularly strong in the areas where they need the most improvement. Our tutors are energetic, enthusiastic, reassuring, skilled, and professional. The program concentrates on multiple areas to help your child achieve their best possible score: Testing Structure and Philosophy - We help students understand what variables are working for and against them within the test itself and in each subsection of the test. This understanding, coupled with our patient, knowledgeable methodology, provide a study plan and homework for each student based on their specific challenges and provide parents with regular progress reports. Testing Techniques - We prepare students with specific techniques developed to help them narrow down the right answer to any given question and guide our students through each section to point out potential challenges and provide for a plan of attack. Ongoing Practice Tests - We test students multiple times from the beginning of the tutoring experience with previously administered, real practice tests. Practicing on real tests is not only the best way to improve scores, but also the best way to reduce any anxiety on the actual test day. We also update parents with the results from the practice tests, so they can monitor their student's progress.
