LEE-HI Companies
Established in 1959, LEE-HI Companies is one of the oldest truck stops on the east coast. LEE-HI began as LEE-HI Truck Stop, which was a pure oil truck stop, and was built and operated by J.C. Heizer. The truck stop was operated by J.C. Heizer until 1968 when Leonard Pennington, who served as General Manager, purchased LEE-HI from J.C. Heizer. In October 1981, ownership of LEE-HI Truck Stop changed again and Bobby Berkstresser became the owner. Bobby Berkstresser began running LEE-HI with a staff of nine employees and a facility that included a restaurant, fuel stop, and garage. In December of 2011, LEE-HI Companies teamed up with TA, Travel Centers of America. In August of 2017, IHOP opened up for business. Without a doubt, many changes have taken place at LEE-HI Companies within the past 30 years under the ownership of Bobby Berkstresser. Many additions have been made, with many more in store for the future! We look forward to serving you.
