Leicester Grammar School
Leicester Grammar Junior School operates as an extension of the family unit within which members of staff act with firmness and fairness, promoting principles of respect, tolerance and consideration for others. Pupils are encouraged to develop a caring and responsible attitude to others which leads to good manners and acceptable behaviour. Each class teacher is responsible for the pastoral care of the pupils in his/her class. Staff are always available to discuss any concerns parents may have. There is daily contact between parents and staff when children are in the Infant department. Formal Parents' Evenings and written reports take place twice a year. Your involvement in your child's education is a vital aspect of an important partnership which places at its centre the needs of the child. The spiritual dimension of the school reflects the principles of the Christian faith, its values and standards of personal conduct. We also welcome children of other faiths and cultural backgrounds. We value greatly our links with our local church, St. Cuthberts, Great Glen which hosts our Harvest Festival and Easter Services. A member of the clergy from St.Cuthbert's visits regularly to lead our school assemblies. The school is also privileged to be able to use Leicester Cathedral for our Christingle and Carol Service.
