Lexicon's practice of philanthropic giving and volunteerism is driven by a desire to make a difference in our community. The sense of personal responsibility and initiative that marks our corporate culture also shapes our approach to community involvement. One of our passions continues to be the support of our troops, veterans, and their families. We've sponsored family support events at our military installations such as Operation Homefront and the Annual Blackhorse Marathon for 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment soldiers at Fort Irwin's National Training Center. For the last two years, we've co-sponsored Operation Amped at San Onofre Beach in Camp Pendleton, CA. Founded by a group of surfers in 2006, Operation Amped is about giving back to those who've been wounded in service of our country. We also continuously support our Army Family Readiness Groups (FRG), allowing Army units to support their troops and their families back home. Lexicon trains and serves the community at the Lexicon Training Center in Fillmore, CA which serves as a meeting place and retreat for our Los Angeles, San Diego, and Ventura County disabled veterans. Two of our finest soldiers, Army SFC Tennyson Grant and his wife, former SGT Katrina Grant, lost their son, Ktenn, on June 2, 2009. Ktenn was a beautiful 4-year old boy who fell victim to childhood drowning. The Ktenn D'von Grant Foundation is a Non-Profit Organization established in 2009 by family members of Ktenn D'von Grant in honor and loving memory of him.
