Lid Vizion provides technology to the waste and recycling sector to tackle contamination. We use advanced technology to improve the planet and create better communities along the way. Our mission is to clear up confusion and clean up human consumption. Our values are focused on service to community. We help identify value in trash and prevent hazardous materials from polluting our communities. By targeting hazardous and toxic chemicals first, we are able to protect communities, workplaces, and the environment. Lid Vizion was founded in 2019 by Shawn Wilborne and Lamar Giggetts. During his second year at law school at the University of Miami, Shawn was jogging one Sunday morning and saw the amount of litter and debris left over from the weekend. Although during the week there are service workers to clean, Sunday was particularly revealing of the amount of valuable materials left behind. The amount of mishandled materials and pollution was astonishing. He began understanding the pain points throughout the materials handling supply chain and shortly thereafter contacted his former teammate, roommate, and one of his best friends, Lamar. Shawn knew Lamar had experience in building software systems needed to achieve Lid Vizions mission. When looking at the problem of contamination, it must be addressed at the source (the point of disposal into a receptacle). This is where confusion occurs, at the Lid. In addition, if a person does not have the Vizion on where and how to dispose of their materials, then they will lose faith in the system and the frustration perpetuates. Thus, Lid Vizion was born. Our subject matter experts manage recycling facilities, run zero-waste and recycling programs, and are experienced in a range of technologies such as artificial intelligence, computer vision, Internet-of-Things devices, and geographic information systems. Our mission is to clean up human consumption. We aim to hit zero. Whether that means zero contamination, zero pollution, zero carbon, or zero confusion, we must work together.
