The LievenseCSO Group
LievenseCSO provides a significant part of the risk analyses under the Dutch national Flood Risk Analysis Program , which uses an innovative method to make an inventory of flooding probability and effects (casualties, damages) for all 53 Dutch endiked polders and threatened lowlands. In these analyses we evaluate the adequacy of dikes (crest levels, core and slope protection, overtopping, piping, strength and stability) and structures which are part of dikes and embankments (locks, discharge sluices and gates, culverts, etc.). Besides these analyses we also design flood protection measures and drainage systems : dikes and hydraulic structures, as well as measures to regulate the water, like for instance reservoirs for superfluous water and pumping-stations. LievenseCSO has been involved in designs of storm surge barriers for Rotterdam and Venice.
