Lifeline Community exists to create a community passionate for the Worship of God, the Word of God and the Work of God. Our mission statement contains words that identify essential traits of who we are seeking to be. First of all, we genuinely do want to have an intimate sense of community. This is not only a biblical principle and goal for the church, but it is made all the more important because of our culture. In a postmodern world being part of a community of people is very important. We all want to feel needed and accepted. We are seeking to create a place where people can belong. Second, we are driven by our passion. Being passionate is a big deal to us. We want people to be drawn to Lifeline Community by what they see in us. We want our incarnation (how we live) and our communication (what we say) to be passionate. Third, there are three things that we really want our passions pointed toward. The Worship of God - Passionate worship is an anomaly in our culture. We are seeking to be a community that thirsts after the Living God and lets others know and see just how thirsty we are. Getting people in our particular culture to visit Lifeline Community and observe our worship of God will be a key to growing our church. Often seeing people genuinely and vulnerably holding their hearts open to God is evidence of the reality of their relationship with Him. We long for our worship to be both sweet incense to God and also a valuable pre-evangelistic and evangelistic tool. The Word of God - The Bible alone is God's Word. We will be passionate both for the intake of it and in the preaching/teaching of it. It is our standard for all that we do both in our personal lives and in the ministry life of Lifeline Community. We will demonstrate our passion for it by consistently setting it up as the rule and tool for all of life and godliness.
