Lintec Engineering

Established in 1987 in Johannesburg - South Africa, Lintec Engineering has long been providing wear solutions for bulk materials handling. The founder, Eric Olsen, has been involved with wear-resistant materials such as ceramics, carbides and hard metals since 1969. He was responsible for the first alumina ceramic lined pipes in England, Australia and South Africa. It was with this knowledge that Lintec Engineering was formed. Eric remains a director and shareholder of Lintec Engineering. In the early years, Lintec largely supplied Eskom's Coal Fired Power Stations and Arcelor Mittal (then known as Iscor). The company has since grown its customer base to include the likes of BHP Billiton, Implats, Optimum, De Beers, Anglo, Sasol and Xstrata, as well as many OEMs, consultants and project houses. With this growth the need for a branch in Witbank, Mpumalanga arose and in 2004 Lintec opened its Witbank branch. Which, due to demand, has since moved into larger premises. Lintec's policy has always been to maintain mutually beneficial relationships with supplier and customer. Lintec remains ethical in its approach to business and honesty is principal. Lintec, grown from very humble beginnings, is now a major role player within the wear resistant industry.
