Lizard King Hotel & Suites

In the beginning of 2001, the two brothers travelled throughout the costal parts of Costa Rica in search for land to build a hotel. During their exploration, they came upon the town Puerto Viejo and felt that this was the right place for the business. It had an eclectic group of tourism from many parts of the world with an underlying vibe of Jamaica and Reggae music. It was a town that was just starting to bud in the scene of tourism. The Lizard King Hotel was named after the lead singer of the 1960's rock band The Doors. One of Jim Morrison's more prominent nick name was The Lizard King. Most notably stated in one of his poems turned to songs: The Celebration Of The Lizard ..I am the Lizard King I can do anything.. Home
