Our brand founder, Maria Lizunova, started her jewellery design practice over 15 years ago, when she was still pursuing a career in graphic design and advertising. As Maria's obsession with jewellery and gemstones grew, she decided to dedicate herself to jewellery design full time, and in 2012 established her eponymous fine jewellery brand. Maria is focused on purity of design and being proud of each jewel the brand produces - it has to be a striking presence yet respond to practical considerations such as wearability and comfort. Maria is very hands-on in the day to day running of the business, as well as being the creative mastermind behind each of our precious creations. Our jewels have been featured in various publications, such as AFR Magazine, Weekend Australian, Ellements Magazine (USA), Sunday Telegraph, Ben & Co and worn on air by Channel Ten's Sandra Sully and SBS's Janice Peterson. Lizunova is passionately committed to ethical, local manufacturing, with each jewel meticulously handcrafted by our expert jewellers in Sydney. We use ethical Australian-made gold, silver and platinum, with hand-picked coloured gemstones and diamonds sourced from trusted suppliers.
