LLOYD Shoes GmbH is a manufacturer of men's and women's shoes. Founded as H.F.Meyer Schuhfabrik in Bremen in 1888 and based in Sulingen in Lower Saxony since 1942, LLOYD has been perfecting the quality, fit and design in the manufacture of exquisite and high value shoes for more than 120 years. LLOYD Shoes are distinctive thanks to their hallmark red stripe that has adorned the heels since 1968. LLOYD products are currently exported to more than 40 countries and are available from around 3,500 retail outlets. Approximately 6,800 pairs of shoes are produced every single working day - around 1,900 thereof in Germany. LLOYD Shoes GmbH currently employs just under 1,200 people with around 500 of these employees in Germany. In the financial year 2010 the company achieved record consolidated sales of around € 105.8 million. This was repeated once again last year with around € 123.5 million and surpassed by just under 16.7%. A continued positive sales trend is expected for 2012. Mono-label stores, which stock high-quality LLOYD accessories or for instance leather jackets alongside men's and women's shoe collections, are of increasing importance to the company. In Germany there are currently 24 LLOYD concept stores in Cologne, Frankfurt, Nuremberg and Munich, amongst other places. 20 stores are currently operated by LLOYD and 5 are managed by partners (including Hannover, Freiburg and Dusseldorf). Worldwide there are around 40 concept stores in Paris, Copenhagen, Moscow, Hong Kong and Sydney, amongst other places.
