Finger Lakes Community Health strives to ensure high quality, comprehensive healthcare in the communities we serve with an emphasis on underserved and special populations. Finger Lakes Community Health, founded in 1989, is a Federally Qualified Health Center and a provider of health care for agricultural workers. We have since expanded our services to provide comprehensive health care for everyone, with numerous centers in the region. To us, building a healthy community is not simply a matter of providing health services, but of being true champions for wellness. Our Community Outreach Advocates work directly with the community to ensure that people are aware of our services, to provide education about preventive care, and to affect policies that help improve access and quality of care. We are also champions for the patient. Our bilingual Patient Advocates are certified medical interpreters who help patients with transportation, housing assistance, financial advocacy, free lunch programs and other issues that improve their quality of life and access to care. We have bilingual Insurance Enrollers who can assist you with insurance forms, Medicaid, and Child Health Plus Enrollment. We also have Patient Navigators who help guide patients through the healthcare system, including obtaining health insurance and referrals, making appointments, following-up, and ensuring you feel comfortable throughout every step of the healthcare process. We can also refer to you providers of prenatal care, eye care, and other areas of specialization within the community.
