Local Wiki
LocalWiki is a grassroots effort to collect, share and open the world’s local knowledge. We want anyone, anywhere to be able to learn about where they live - their local government, the history of their neighborhoods, streets, social movements, noteworthy local figures, social services, schools â€" every facet of life in their community. And we believe that this vast collection of local knowledge should be created by the people who know it best - individual community members working together. There are already over 70 independent LocalWiki projects in 9 countries and in 7 languages. Collectively, LocalWiki projects reach over 400,000 people each month. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization based in San Francisco, California. Learn more about us on our blog or follow us on twitter or facebook.
