Long Island Swimming

Long Island Swimming is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) corporation dedicated to the development of competitive swimming on Long Island. Friends of swimming, concerned parents, swimmers and former swimmers make up its membership. Long Island swimming is the sponsoring organization for the Long Island Aquatic Club. Long Island Aquatic Club was founded in 1979, has been the preeminent competitive swimming team on Long Island for over 25 years. It is recognized by United States Swimming as one of the USA National Programs of Excellence, achieving Gold Medal status in 2007-2008 the only program on Long Island to achieve this status. LIAC swimmers have represented the United States at the World Championships, Pan-American Championships, Pan-Pac Championships and the World University Games. LIAC swimmers and coaches have been named to the United States Swimming National and Junior National Teams. Long Island Swimming is proud to offer scholarships to those swimmers who qualify.
