Lozier Heating & Cooling

Lozier Heating & Cooling

The business was founded in 1906 by Thomas Ruth and Fred A. Clark as Ruth and Clark Company. It was a tin shop, hardware store and plumbing service, with premises near 24th and University. The tin shop made gutters and furnace flues and the hardware store served residential and commercial customers, including such companies as Standard Oil and John Deere. William Lozier brought the company along to the modern era of heating and cooling. Long-time employees, Tom Gumm and Gary Pennington acquired the company many years ago. Lozier Heating and Cooling is listed as one of the oldest businesses of any type in Polk County. Thomas and Gary attribute their long term success to one simple, but extremely fundamental aspect of any successful business, CUSTOMER SERVICE.Lozier takes care of its customers with about 40 employees and a fleet of 20 service trucks. Lozier has won awards for being among the top 1% Lennox dealers out of about 7,000 in America, and for being especially active in installing highly energy-efficient systems. Awards aside, Lozier's most notable achievement is a 98% Customer Satisfaction Rating.
