Europe's market leader in last-minute travel generated a turnover (including agency-generated sales) of €429 million in the 2012/2013 financial year, from more than 740,000 customers. TUI Travel PLC holds 70 percent of the shares in L'TUR, while L'TUR founder Karlheinz Kögel holds 30 percent. Last-minute travel is travel booked up to just a few hours before departure, and can be as much as 50 percent cheaper than catalogue prices. There are around ten million offers daily, from more than 10,000 hotels and 130 airlines, including Lufthansa, TUIfly, Condor, Air Berlin and Germanwings.
