Lucky Store

Lucky Store was founded in 1959 by Nasser Issa located in Paramaribo, Suriname. The company started as a small textile company at the corner of Zwartenhovenbrugstraat and Prinsenstraat (150 m².) Together with his wife Olga Issa-Shoul, he worked on the growth of this company. In 1964 Lucky Store moved to a new location at the corner of Steenbakkerijstraat and Maagdenstraat, of approximately 180 m². In 1967 it finally moved to its current location at the Jodenbreestraat 38-40 in downtown Paramaribo (225 m²). After an expansion in 1996 Lucky Store had 850 m² of retail space. December 2016 Lucky Store opened a three-leveled renewed store at the Jodenbreestraat of 3500m2. Since the Grand Opening Lucky Store welcomes the customers in a modernized store with a lot of space to make shopping a pleasant experience. Customers can visit the Lucky Café for a snack and/or drink and may use our free-wifi. Lucky Store is accessible for wheelchairs, everybody is welcome!
