Lumbee River EMC

Lumbee River Electric Membership Corporation is one of 26 electric distribution cooperatives in North Carolina. Headquartered in Red Springs, Lumbee River serves over 50,000 members in Cumberland, Hoke, Robeson and Scotland counties. First organized in 1940, the cooperative has grown to almost 6,000 miles of line and maintains 27 substations. Today, Lumbee River EMC ranks 7th in NC for membership yet remains committed to the members and communities it serves just like it was almost 75 years ago.
