Lyford Cay Club

The Lyford Cay Property Owners Association was established in 1961 when only a few homes existed in Lyford Cay and was incorporated 1971. The Lyford Cay POA is a not-for-profit association of homeowners and property owners within Lyford Cay. The operations of the Association are overseen by the Board of Directors elected annually, which establishes overall administrative policies and directives. Members of the Board, comprising Lyford Cay property owners, serve the community with no compensation, giving freely of their time in upholding the level of services and high residential standards within Lyford Cay. The purpose of the POA is to provide general services to the community: 24-hour security and fire protection; sanitation (garbage and garden cutting collection); landscaping of common areas; mail service, road maintenance; canal wall maintenance; and direct liaison with community organizations and agencies of the Bahamas Government.
