magIMPACT

magIMPACT was founded in November of 1998 by Peter Havranek during his senior year in college at the University of Illinois at Urbana-­Champaign-home of Mosaic, the first graphical web browser. Peter, who had been programming computers since early childhood, had access to the new browser... and was fascinated by the idea that businesses could use it to connect with their customers. He started building and experimenting with some of the first-ever business websites, and the rest is history. magIMPACT was born-and Peter has been helping other entrepreneurs use technology and the Web to achieve their goals ever since. Over the years, he has grown the company from a local simple website design firm into a national full­-featured marketing company, researching and testing the latest developments in marketing technologies and best practices, both offline and online. Through that time, the company's focus has been the same as it was on day one-helping small business owners use technology to market their businesses more efficiently and effectively.
