Magnelab

Magnelab is a current transformer manufacturer founded in 1968 by Carl Forsberg in Boulder, Colorado. Under the original name of Magnetek, Carl began manufacturing simple antenna coils to complex military switching transformers from his home. In 1995, Solomon Corporation, manufacturer of current transformers, enclosers and regulators for electrical utilities and industries, purchased Magnelab. In this year, Magnelab moved into a new 16,000 square foot facility in Longmont, Colorado, approximately 35 miles north of Denver. Magnelab is currently owned by Manutech, based in Miami, Florida. Manutech has been designing and manufacturing all types of magnetics components for more than 45 years and employs 350 people in their offshore facility. Magnelab serves the energy monitoring industry with a standard line of precision current transformers. These include the flexible RopeCT® (Rogowski coil), split-core 'opening type' current transformers, 'non-opening type' toroidal current sensors, and precision potential transformers. We can offer the best of both worlds - quick turn-around of smaller quantities, as well as larger volume competitive pricing. Our offshore advantages include the lowest labor costs in this the Western hemisphere, making our pricing competitive with suppliers anywhere! Magnelab is an ISO 9001:2008 certified company, maintaining our tradition of quality and continual process improvement. We are a fully staffed current transformer manufacturer and engineering organization with the ability to build from print or by design. We look forward to building a strong business relationship with your company or organization.
