Manhattan Institute

The Manhattan Institute is an institution that offers public policy research study, analysis, and publication services. The institution offers luncheon forums, conferences, and publications on topics such as taxes, welfare, crime, the legal system, urban life, race, and education. It publishes City Journal, a quarterly magazine on urban governance and civic life and various reports, articles, opinion pieces, and speeches under the auspices of Center for Civic Innovation (CCI) and Center for Legal Policy (CLP). The institute was founded in 1978 and is based in New York.
