Marian's Guesthouse
Marian's Guesthouse is the first and only expatriate operated guesthouse in Dushanbe. Many in Dushanbe have tried to copy her, but none have managed to keep up the standard she has set. Established in 2003, Marian's has hosted a wide range of guests including pure bred Burman cats, a number of desert tortoises, the occasional hedgehog and a white rabbit called Harvey. Our paying guests have included ambassadors, diplomats, consultants and the occasional tourist. We deliberately do not call ourselves a hotel, preferring to think of our guests as just that....."Marian's Guests". Tajikistan being Tajikistan, we do have our "Faulty Towers" moments/days, so the house is not for those expecting everything to be perfect all of the time (if you expect things to be perfect then go and pay to stay at the Hyatt). Having said that, we do try our best, from the moment you arrive, until the time you leave, to provide you with the utmost hospitality that Tajikistan is famous for.
