Established in 1999, Marin Sun Farms is an extension of David Evan's farming heritage, a family that has cared for the land for decades. We are nestled in the rolling grasslands of the Point Reyes National Seashore in Northern California, or as we like to call it, the most beautiful place on earth. All aspects of our business, from the product to the business we conduct, are an extension of who we are and how we live. Our mission is to participate in creating a more sustainable food model and inspire an agrarian culture that conserves our landscapes, supports the health of its inhabitants and restores the vitality of a region that has thrived for hundreds of years. To accomplish this, we focus on the production of local, pasture-based food to nurture our communities and families. Today, Marin Sun Farms is a vertically integrated, pasture to plate meat company contributing to building a more sustainable future by building resiliency within local foodsheds. Marin Sun Farms has accomplished this by investing heavily in processing; being positioned between livestock and the market to facilitate that connection and become a gateway for 100% Grass Fed, Pasture Raised, and Foodshed meats. We produce, process and sell guided by a vision of a future where humans manage natural resources to sustain, foster and enrich biological productivity and diversity. We operate the last remaining slaughterhouse in the San Francisco Bay area, a critical piece of infrasturure to secure the future of localized livestock production in Northern California. Marin Sun Farms' efforts will safeguard the future of pasture based animal husbandry by supporting family farms to nourish people and the environment.
