Mark C. Butler

Mark C. Butler has over 15 years experience representing fire departments, fire companies, fire districts, towns, villages, cities and volunteer ambulance agencies across New York State, in the delivery of emergency services. Mr. Butler's work includes all aspects of emergency services governance and compliance issues, not-for-profit corporation governance issues, fire district formation, consolidation and governance, emergency services operational matters, apparatus and fire station facility construction and financing, and municipal operational matters. As an active firefighter and EMT, Mark has first-hand experience in the delivery of services to the public. Mr. Butler has also served as a fire-service and EMS educator, including development and delivery of recruit firefighter training, instructor and officer education, and training program management. Mark has authored articles for fire journals and delivered training at national firefighting and instructor conferences. Mr. Butler's work has resulted in several honors and recognitions, including as the EMS Educator of the Year Award in 2004 from the Wyoming Erie Regional EMS Council and the Training Achievement Award in 2005 from Fire Engineering at the national Fire Department Instructor's Conference. Mr. Butler is a member of the National Fire Protection Association, New York State Association of Fire Chiefs, Fireman's Association of the State of New York, and the Fire Department Safety Officers' Association.
