Markes International manufactures specialist analytical instrumentation for trace organic analysis, and is renowned as a global market leader for analytical thermal desorption. In May 2017 Markes' automated air-monitoring systems for both canister and tube sampling were officially endorsed by the Chinese Ministry of Environmental Protection. This cements their long-standing reputation as high-performance, well-designed and cost-effective technologies for the analysis of volatile and semi-volatile organic compounds (VOCs and SVOCs). Markes' systems are sold to a wide range of research, government and industrial/service laboratory customers operating in sectors including environmental monitoring, homeland security and forensic investigations, petrochemical analysis, materials testing, and flavour & fragrance profiling.
