Masarat is Non-Profit organization focusing on minorities, collective memory Studies and interfaith dialogue, registered in the department of non-governmental organizations in Iraq under the number IZ72908 Masarat issued dedicated magazine to the study cultural diversity in Iraq and the Arab world, the first issue was published on April 9, 2005. Also Masarat publish specialized books studies in the field of cultural diversity, literature, history and sociology in the objective to promote cultural development in Iraq and the Arab world. Masarat produced a series of documentary films dealing with minority rights and public freedoms, these films helped in covering issues neglected by the official and Non official in the Goal of establishing Cinema of civil society Masarat was at the front of many civil initiatives such as the civil initiative to preserve the Constitution, 2010, the National Campaign for the Defense of Civil Society 2009, the initiative of civil peace 2012, also one of the founders of the of Muslim-Christian dialogue 2010-2012, and Masarat established Iraqi Council for Interfaith Dialogue 2013.
