MASQUERADE engages, inspires, entertains and challenges audiences with theatrical productions that range from the classics to new works; we train and support the next generation of theatre-makers; we provide arts education programmes that promote life-long learning to a diverse community; we collaborate and develop innovative partnerships with arts practitioners. Masquerade Malta is a creative industries enterprise that provides a variety of high-quality theatre events throughout the year that take place in different venues around Malta. Established in 1997 this innovative company has a formidable body of work under its belt, surprising the public with new styles of theatre, musicals, classic plays, side-splitting comedies, and a standard of professionalism that never fails to impress. In October 2012, Masquerade launched their new premises, M Space - A Hub for Inspiring Exchange, which is fast becoming Malta's space for the performing arts. This seven-storey building is comprised of 14 state-of-art studios, a fully-equipped Music Studio, an intimate theatre space, Blue Box and its very own food outlet. The building incorporates both MASQUERADE School for the Performing Arts and Masquerade Theatre Company. It also houses the office of the National Representative for Trinity College London exams. With the intention of promoting theatre and culture in Malta, Masquerade Theatre Company constantly endeavours to provide a variety of high-quality productions, giving both new and well-established actors, singers and dancers the chance to perform. Masquerade's objectives also include offering exchanges with foreign companies, and promoting cultural tourism. By running its own casting agency, Masquerade continues to support this idea by providing actors for local and foreign commercials and films. Masquerade also uses its theatre experience to help corporate companies to organise team building and training events. With exciting projects in the pipe-line, and new talent constantly emerging, Masquerade's development is forever progressing.
