McGill's

With close to 1000 employees, across our five depots, we operate over 400 buses across 110 routes which serve North Ayrshire, Renfrewshire, East Renfrewshire, Inverclyde, North Lanarkshire and Glasgow City. Every week, there are close to three-quarters of a million journeys on a McGill's bus. Our company prides itself on high-level customer service and invests heavily in driver training and development. We have developed our own in-house training school within our Johnstone depot. McGill's has made a substantial investment in our fleet in recent years. Since 2014 we have invested around £10m. Our vision is to provide a public transport network that is modern, efficient and integrated with other modes. This can be observed by our various activities including open-top tours, attending community events, free tea dances, ClydeFlyer service and our new CapitalFlyer to Edinburgh. In January 2017, McGill's was named a Scottish Insider top 500 company, coming in at place 269. You can read more on this here. We work closely with the Prince's Trust on their 'Get Into Bus Engineering' scheme, to allow younger workers an opportunity to become engineers with McGill's. In February 2015, we received our Investors in Young People accreditation. McGill's was one of the first bus companies in Scotland to launch m-ticketing, an app which allows customers to purchase their bus tickets on their phone, and scan when boarding. 2017 seen the launch of McGill's newest ticket type; GoSmart card. GoSmart users can access their account online, and add their ticket to their card when they need it. McGill's Bus Service Limited is registered in Scotland (SC027238). We trade as McGill's.
