MT powers 1.5 million websites in 100 different countries. (mt) was bought by GoDaddy in October 2013. Although this caused initial concern for some, Media Temple has retained its autonomy. It is run independently from GoDaddy, and the purchase contract stipulated that this will not change. This deal has allowed Media Temple to continue to expand its growth, and it is showing no signs of slowing down anytime soon.
