Medical Billing Academy is authorized for operation as a postsecondary educational institution by the Tennessee Higher Education Commission. Our medical billing service was established in 2005 and grew from 1 client in Tennessee to serving clients nation wide. In an effort to give back to the medical billing field, our service often allowed students to intern with our company. Our interns often express how much they learned from working with our company and wished we would offer medical billing courses. We realize that students entering the medical billing field need to be taught not only from text books, but also require a hands on approach. The medical industry is forever changing, and the demand on medical billers continues to grow. With provider's healthcare reimbursements decreasing, providers depend on medical billers to be even more knowledgeable in ways to manage the entire revenue cycle. For this reason, we have put together a unique education experience including an introduction to medical terms and electronic billing, all the way to accounts receivable management, and credentialing of healthcare providers. These skill sets and many more are taught with a practical and applied approach.
