Meeks Shoes

Meeks Shoes is a family firm that was established over 100 years ago by Edward Meeks. Edward ran away from home with just a shilling in his pocket and took a job selling shoes in Ashton-under-Lyne. It was not long before he started up his own shop, which became a great success. Edward became a well respected member of the local community and became Alderman of the borough. The Company still trades today in Ashton, and is now run by the fourth generation of the family, John Meeks and his sister Sally. There are now four shops in Ashton, Oldham, Sale and Stockport. We specialise in comfort shoes and wider fitting shoes from a variety of well known brands, such as Clarks, Ecco and Hotter. A large part of our business is kids shoes, but we do not want to sell the fitted product online as we still believe that your child's feet need to be properly measured and fitted instore by our trained staff.
