Mental Health Association of Southeastern Pennsylvania
Mental Health Partnerships [MHP: formerly known as Mental Health Association of Southeastern Pennsylvania] is a non-profit organization founded in 1951. For almost 70 years, MHP has been organizing, educating, and advocating for the rights of people who experience challenges to their mental and emotional well-being, becoming one of the nations' leading organizations in mental health advocacy, education, and service delivery. MHP has been a pioneer in developing and promoting recovery focused, peer directed services. The MHP recovery movement continues to practice the value of "Nothing About Us, Without Us". Individuals engaged with their own recovery, family members and allies are involved as MHP board members, staff, core volunteers, and key constituents. Today MHP serves 10,000 individuals and their families annually in Philadelphia and its surrounding counties, Delaware and Southwest New Jersey.
