Messenger supplies and installs high-specification Passive Fire Protection from all major manufacturers and is able to offer bespoke designs for non-standard applications. Howard Hudson, who is leading the Passive Fire Protection service at Messenger, says: "Passive fire protection seeks to compartmentalise rooms or apartments. In the event that a fire starts the flames are contained to that compartmentalised area for enough time to evacuate the building and for the fire service to extinguish the fire. Fire protection ranges from 30-120 minutes and can sometimes extend to 240 minutes dependant on what products are used." Howard continues: "Messenger provides a third party risk assessment and will install the correct fire protection to achieve the documented rating. We provide a certificate of conformity that proves we have installed everything correctly and to the manufacturers' specification." Messenger also now offers diamond sawing, drilling and chasing, through concrete, re-enforced concrete, walls, blocks, and bricks.
