Its founder included such eminent names as Dr's. Aserico Sison, Ramon Campos, Antonio Velasquez and Gumerin do Garcia. The aim of these men was to offer quality pharmaceutical products to a broad spectrum of the Filipino people. Initially, Metro Drug was successful in obtaining the distribution rights from American pharmaceutical companies such as Abbott, Merck and Mead Johnson. 1950s
