Meuhedet

The chief of the directorate is Eyal Gabai and the CEO is Sigal Regev-Rozenberg. Meuhedet was founded in 1974 through the merger of two established HMOs: Amamit and Merkazit. Amamit was founded by Hadassah in 1931 for the farmers' union and the national farmers' association to provide medical services for the working settlements. Merkazit was founded five years later by the Zionist Workers' Organization to provide medical care to independent and urban contract workers. Independent professionals joined later. Today, Meuhedet operates four district administrative offices and more than 300 clinics throughout Israel, most of which have an attached laboratory. We employ some 4000 doctors, operate tens of pharmacies, and offer services such as imaging (X-rays, ultrasounds, mammograms), child development, physiotherapy, gynecology, diabetes, and cardiology - in tens of institutes throughout Israel. Meuhedet's complementary medicine clinics offer treatments and workshops overseen by a doctor; our chain of dental clinics has branches throughout Israel and offers a wide range of treatments for all ages and issues. Meuhedet also offers workshops across Israel on topics including smoking cessation, childbirth and parenting, nutrition, learning and developmental diseases, and first aid. Meuhedet operates the "Neve Amit" chain of assisted living residences and nursing hospitals for seniors, as well as two hotels: Hotel Bali in Tverya and Canaan Spa Hotel in Tsfat. Meuhedet Executives
