Mid-American Elevator Company, Inc., now the largest independent elevator company in Chicago, has been a leader in the elevator industry for over 30 years. A family-owned business, Mid-American is large enough to tackle almost any maintenance, renovation or construction project, but small enough to give our customers the individualized attention they deserve. We install and service almost any kind of elevator-passenger, service, freight, material lift systems and construction hoists. We also maintain and service any type or brand of escalator or auto-walk. Our maintenance and construction operations cover all of metropolitan Chicago from Gary to Woodstock. Our modern 30,000 square foot downtown Chicago facility is centrally located to serve all our customers and provide extremely rapid response in the City. Mid-American currently employs over 25 people in the office and warehouse, and over 75 elevator constructors in the field working on maintenance, construction and renovation. Mid-American also maintains an active office in Washington, DC which presently employs over 35 people.
